For Colored Girls…
Tyler Perry brings Ntozake Shange stage play “For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When A Rainbow Isn’t Enuf” to life threw a star studded cast of strong black women including: Thandie Newton, Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington, Teesa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, and Whoopi Goldberg.
The movie address issues colored woman have been up against for years: rape, abortion, infidelity, abuse, personal conflict, and abandonment. All of the women in the movie struggles with one of these issues that are represented by a color.
The film also features a cast of delicious black men including: Hill Harper, Michael Ealy, Omari Harwick, and Khalil Kain. Of course, these gentlemen take a backseat to the ladies. (Hence the title)
The movie truly is for colored girls. Its about empowerment, self-worth, and love. I definitely recommend going to see this film. Support Tyler Perry, your community, Black actors and actresses, and your self. Go see “For Colored Girls”
